Christmas Day 2011- What is open in Redmond WA today? Well of course there is Starbucks down near Safeway and Safeway is also open as is the small QFC. Tully’s is open at Bella Botega. Jack in the Box and McDonalds is open but no sign at Wendy’s or DQ.

Redmond Town Center is as quite as a mouse.

Twas the day of Christmas in Redmond WA, not a creature was stirring except for a few hardcore latte drinkers and people who wanted a quiet day of grocery shopping. And if you are one of those very last minute shoppers – remember the grocery stores have gift cards! and so does Starbucks and Tully’s!

I am not sure how this place is allowed to stay in business. It is becoming known as the white trash area in Redmond WA . When they first opened they did offer local produce for reasonable prices but now I haven’t been in there in awhile mainly because the produce started getting rotten and by the looks of the place you can see why.

The Marymoor Park Reflexology Path is located next to the tennis courts and the food booth near Parking Lot K which can be found on this map of Marymoor Park.

While nothing like the scale of the one located on the Bastyr University Campus, it is a good start for a healing walk.

As a massage therapist I personally know the benefits of foot massage.

Is there any sign of Recession in Redmond WA? Not from here there isn’t. Driving around in the old downtown area yesterday was a nightmare of construction reroutes.

You can find out what is going on in the construction areas from the City of Redmond Website.

The Bear Creek Parkway extension creating a new road out of Redmond Town Center and other road and drainage improvements are keeping traffic to a slow in some areas.

And how many new apartments, condos, town homes and houses do we need? There are plans for creating over 1100 new living spaces plus 8 new office buildings according to this report in 2008(pdf).
